Digital Readiness for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Join the International Downtown Association (IDA) and our partner, Grow with Google, for a free four-part Digital Readiness Series designed to help small and medium-sized business owners develop the skills needed to succeed online. The series aims to help small and medium-sized businesses owners like you:  

  • Get found online: Get your business online and improve your digital presence.  
  • Reach more customers: Connect with more customers in more places.  
  • Sell online: Make it easy for customers to shop with you on your website. 
  • Work remotely: Run your business from anywhere.  

The Digital Readiness Series for Small and Medium-sized Businesses is a free program made up of four learning modules. Each module includes three parts: a Grow with Google Quick Help video, a Google Primer minicourse and a virtual workshop. You can watch the videos and take the Primer minicourses anytime. Live workshop registration information is below. You can complete just one module or all four—and you’ll get a Digital Readiness milestone marker for each module you complete so you can show off your skills!

Q: What is the Digital Readiness Series?
A: The Digital Readiness Series is a program made up of four learning modules. Each module includes a Grow with Google Quick Help video, a Google Primer minicourse (the free Primer app is available on the App Store and Google Play), and a virtual Grow with Google workshop.

Q: How do I know if I qualify as a small or medium-sized business?
A: Small and medium-sized businesses are considered to have up to 1,000 employees. In addition, businesses that serve customers in person at a storefront or within a defined service area qualify. Online only businesses that operate via phone, email and through the web are not eligible.

Q: What if I am not a small or medium-sized business in North America?
A: Please visit the Grow with Google website or Grow with Google OnAir to learn more about expanding digital skills.

Q: As a small or medium-sized business, do I have to do all four workshops? 
A: You can sign up for one (or all) of our four free digital readiness workshop tracks to gain the skills you need to support and grow your business.

Q: Is there a fee?
A: No! IDA offers these workshops for free to small and medium-sized businesses.
