Overview: Join this session and get a better understanding of the findings of the IDA Parking & Mobility Top Issues Council report. We will take the findings from this report, dive a little deeper and share two case studies from Pittsburgh and Memphis. Representatives from both cities will discuss different applications of mobility and parking-demand management strategies on the ground, covering what’s worked, what they would do differently with hindsight, and how the work is evolving.

Lauren Bermudez
Transportation and Mobility Program Manager, Downtown Memphis Commission
Lauren Bermudez works as the Transportation Program Manager at the Downtown Memphis Commission. Her roles include managing the Core Transportation Management Association (TMA) and acting as the DMC staff person answerable to the Downtown Mobility Authority, which controls parking assets in Memphis’s downtown. Lauren's projects include an on-demand micro-transit pilot, sidewalk improvement program, parking-demand management strategies, electric vehicle infrastructure planning, and bicycle education and encouragement programs. Lauren enjoys riding her bike with her husband and baby and believes that access to safe, healthy, convenient, and affordable transportation is a basic right. 
Kathryn Schlesinger
Senior Mobility Project Manager, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership
Kathryn joined the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership team in October 2018 and focuses on project management, mobility and public realm planning and project initiatives, stakeholder engagement and outreach, and operational and technical support to help enhance the built environment and infrastructure of Downtown Pittsburgh for all users. Before the PDP, Kathryn began her career at the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group, where she worked for almost four years as the Policy Coordinator. More Information
