Sherryl Muriente, LPM
Public Realm Director, West Palm Beach DDA
Sherryl Muriente uses her vast array of talents to develop projects and programs that strengthen, beautify, and enhance the community. With a background in art and dance, and degrees in architecture and urban planning, Sherryl always remains out of the box. She oversees programming for public spaces that further enhances the quality of life for downtown residents and visitors. Muriente participates in community planning, advocates for improved policies, and works as a liaison between City of West Palm Beach staff, local stakeholders, and community advocates. Outside the US, she has collaborated on projects in Peru, Spain, Taiwan, Italy, and Puerto Rico, bringing an expertise in community engagement by activating places through action.
Elizabeth Burt
Director of Urban Activation + Play, Centro San Antonio
Liz is a passionate underutilized space evangelist known for collaboration matchmaking + play based troublemaking (snow, pumpkins, and Parisian mimes included). She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Public Policy studying Public Administration. More recently, she oversaw the award winning Activate Houston Street Initiative, a placemaking action plan to reinvigorate the historic pedestrian corridor in the heart of Downtown, which is recognized as a Best Practice in Public Space Management by the International Downtown Association, for which she is also a proud Emerging Leader Fellow.
Winki Tam
Winki Tam is the Manager of the Placemaking and Public Spaces team at the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association. Growing up in Vancouver, she is inspired by the opportunity to establish vibrancy and culture in a young city. From her experiences living in Amsterdam and Hong Kong, she is especially passionate about bringing more public art, cultural festivals, and live music to downtown Vancouver.
