LiveNFK

LiveNFK was created to bring together corporate interns and summer associates to network, experience Norfolk, Virginia and develop professionally. The program started in 2014 with 50 participants and 5 events. It has grown to over 100 participants and 14 events to choose from during the 7 week summer program. The managing organization solicits participants from local companies that hire summer interns and associates. Companies in downtown Norfolk now incorporate the LiveNFK program into their recruitment efforts. It has become an integral part of their pitch to prospective interns.

LiveNFK is a combination of professional development seminars and social events that showcase Norfolk’s vibrant culture. Each of the activities is designed to help make a compelling case as to why Norfolk and the region is a fantastic place to live, work and stay. Norfolk is a truly unique city offering many diverse activities and attractions to suit the interests of individuals. The diversity Norfolk has to offer makes it an ideal city for young professionals to start their career.

At the end of each LiveNFK season, participants are surveyed and a wrap-up meeting is held with representatives from our corporate partners. Survey results and meeting notes are used to plan the program for the following year.
