Director of Planning & Economic Development, The Village Alliance (New York, NY)
Daniella LaRocco is the Director of Planning and Economic Development at the Village Alliance in Manhattan and has been working in the Village community for nearly 15 years. One of Daniella’s major projects at the Village Alliance was to upgrade how the organization collects and uses data. She also oversees projects to activate public spaces and increase foot traffic throughout the districts and manages the organization’s landscape program. Prior to the Village Alliance, Daniella worked in the field of economic development and planning in various areas of Manhattan with positions at the Municipal Art Society, Times Square Alliance, Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and New York University. Daniella has a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College in History and a Master of City Planning from University of Pennsylvania.
