Sergeant, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, MN
Sergeant Dennis Jahnke joined the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office in 2001 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University, Mankato. In his tenure, Sgt. Jahnke’s gained valuable practical insight into management challenges and problem solving through his work in county court security, at the adult detention center, and investigating personnel background with the human resources division. Because of his expertise, Sgt. Jahnke was twice chosen for a fellowship position within the FBI, bringing his practical knowledge to the Bureau’s Active Shooter Initiative at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC.
