Executive Director, Discover Pacific Beach (San Diego, CA)
Sara Berns a native Californian has been working in community and economic development for over 10 years. As the Executive Director of the largest Business Improvement District in San Diego she has extensive experience in community events ranging from small committee meetings to a 30,000 person festival. Prior to becoming the Executive Director of Discover Pacific Beach, Sara was the program manager and community court coordinator for the organization and has experience working for a variety of non-profit and government organizations including the YMCA, Oceanside Unified School District and University of California. In her current role she has implemented and coordinated many programs in economic development, public safety and special events. Sara has a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Community Organization and Program Administration from University of Southern California.
Sara also serves as on the board of the San Diego BID Alliance and Consolidated Plan Advisory Board for the City of San Diego.
