This is an incredibly exciting time for the place management profession and industry. After years of work codifying our profession, IDA’s Professional Development Committee, and newly created Leadership in Place Management (LPM) Commission, has launched the premier certification program for urban place management professionals.
The IDA Certified LPM allows urban place management professionals to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in leadership development; organizational management; economic development; planning, design, and infrastructure; policy and advocacy; public space management and operations; and marketing, communications, and events.
This program is a valuable opportunity to validate your years of service to the urban place management industry, and to demonstrate your commitment to the profession.
Why become certified by taking the LPM exam?
• The certification is recognition of your established career in the urban place management profession.
• As a leader in the industry, you will help to pioneer the LPM certification program, thereby advancing the professionalism of the urban place management profession overall.
• Earning the LPM will set an example for others to follow in your footsteps.
• It further demonstrates your dedication to the urban place management profession, and your desire to uphold and promote urban place management standards and best practices.
The deadline to apply for certification is next Friday, September 17, 2021. The first exam will be held remotely between November 1 – 15, 2021. Be one of the first to become a certified expert in the field of place management by applying this month.
