Join IDA as we dive into the behind-the-scenes economic development work of the Charlotte City Center Partners team. During this case study, we will learn firsthand the year-round work of data collection, research and storytelling to produce the State of City Center Report. This living document resides on the organization’s website and is updated monthly. Learn how the work of this team enhances collaboration with economic development partners, the commercial real estate community, and existing and prospective businesses.

Tori is a proud Mizzou Tiger (Go Tigers!) and has worked as a designer in several fields — including the financial industry, education (K-12 and higher ed), and healthcare.
James LaBar
Senior Vice President of Economic Development, Charlotte Center City Partners, Charlotte, NCJames LaBar is the Senior Vice President of Economic Development for Charlotte Center City Partners. He is focused on retaining, expanding and attracting businesses, talent and investment in Uptown, South End and Midtown. James collaborates with the entire economic development ecosystem to help ensure economic development for Charlotte’s urban core is robust, shared and continuous.
Justin McCoy
Director of Research, Charlotte City Center Partners, Charlotte, NCJustin is a highly accomplished and experienced researcher. As Director of Research, Justin leads the organization's research efforts and collaborates with key stakeholders to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the Charlotte area. He is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive research studies, analyzing complex data sets, and communicating findings to inform public policy, economic development strategies, and urban planning initiatives.
