IDA is excited to introduce an online series for inspired leaders shaping cities. Advancing Places empowers urban champions with the solutions needed to address the most critical urban issues of the day and connects you to thought leaders and experts in the place management industry. As our downtowns, center cities and neighborhood districts are heavily impacted by physical distancing measures, business closures and community health implications, IDA will explore recovery and rebuilding strategies as we strive to continue creating vital, healthy, thriving cities for everyone. This series takes place each Friday and is available for free with IDA membership and $40 for nonmembers. Each session will include a moderated Q&A, but if you miss the live session, past recordings are available (please see the right sidebar for available recordings). Corporate solutions can be highlighted through webinar sponsorships

IDA Member Community Discussions: IDA will continue with the IDA member CEO community discussion on the first and third Mondays of each month, along with the IDA Canada Community Conversations taking place the first Wednesday of each month. This is an opportunity to hear from and network with peers around responses to and recovery from the pandemic. All sessions include a moderated Q&A. Please note, these live webinar discussions are accessible for IDA members only. Selected past recordings are available for members and nonmembers (see the right sidebar for available recordings).

Certification Maintenance: AICP members can earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits for selected IDA webinars. When CM credits are available, they are noted in the webinar description. More information about AICP’s CM program can be found at

Member Benefits Explained: IDA staff walk through all the benefits of an IDA membership with the “Member Benefits Explained” webinar. This recorded webinar is perfect for new members or groups that want a refresher on all their benefits. Visit our YouTube channel to view the most recent webinar.
