Connect

Leadership

The IDA Board of Directors establishes the strategic direction of the organization, provides financial oversight and serves as a direct connection to the profession. As individual practitioners, board members can advise IDA on issues affecting our member organizations while also serving as a peer to peer connection to the membership. The Executive Committee, as well as the full Board, are available for members to contact and engage.

Current Executive Committee and Board of Directors

IDA encourages all board members to be active leaders throughout committees, programs, and initiatives. Likewise, IDA provides members with opportunities to become more engaged with the profession by serving on committees, task forces, Top Issue Councils and special projects. Members are invited to connect with IDA to further develop the urban place management profession and to gain leadership experience for possible future board service.

IDA Committee and Task Force appointments are made by the IDA Board Chair and Committee Chairs annually each fall. A call for interest will be published and nominations accepted for consideration in advance of the Annual Conference at which time service commitments will be announced. Occasionally, special initiative opportunities will be announced and confirmed outside the regular schedule. A full listing of engagement opportunities is available for review at any time.

If you are interested in serving on a committee in the future, please check back in fall 2024 for available opportunities. Please note, to join a committee, you must be an IDA member in good standing.
