Overview: Winning an IDA Pinnacle Award is the highest level of recognition for urban place management professionals. We’ll walk through two programs pulling communities through the COVID-19 pandemic: the planning of a gift card program benefiting local businesses and a public space activation offering an outdoor office for flexibility in work and wellness.
The Cincy Card Connection in Cincinnati, Ohio was designed to give local business an immediate cash infusion at the start of the pandemic. Learn how it supported 284 businesses during this time of need and their plans for moving forward.
O2: Outdoor Office in Rosslyn, Virginia created an outdoor office environment to assist with reconnecting employees to their workplace as well as giving them a change of scenery from their homes. Learn how they activated Gateway Park to serve as an extension of the office and residential buildings, offering the community even more options for work and wellness.

Mary-Claire Burick
President, Rosslyn Business Improvement District (Arlington, VA)
Mary-Claire Burick is a strategic, regional leader who focuses on building engagement and leading change. As President of the Rosslyn Business Improvement District, she spearheads efforts that define, enhance and continually improve Rosslyn for those who work, live, visit and do business there. Her focus on placemaking, activation and engagement has helped to revitalize Rosslyn, resulting in a thriving mixed-use neighborhood. Mary-Claire serves on several boards, including the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, where she co-chairs the Regionalism committee. She was named as one of Washington Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business and has a certificate in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University and a BA in Communications from the University of Delaware.
Joe Rudemiller
Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Joe Rudemiller became 3CDC’s (Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation) Vice President of Marketing & Communications in 2019. In this role, Rudemiller leads communications-related activities pertaining to 3CDC’s real estate development work, as well as the overall promotion of Downtown Cincinnati. His responsibilities consist of media relations and oversight of all corporate communications – including email marketing campaigns, grant applications, and tenant marketing support, as well as managing 3CDC’s website and the websites of each of its six subsidiaries.
