Michael J. Smith is the President and CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners, an organization that envisions and implements strategies and actions to drive the economic, social and cultural development of Charlotte’s Center City. Smith’s background blends corporate and non-profit experience. Since 2005, Smith has been the driving force behind a number of city-changing initiatives, creating and helping shape initiatives that have changed the landscape for the Charlotte in sustainability, economic development, urban neighborhoods, homelessness, transit and hospitality.
