Environmental Educator, Recycling & Trash Collection, City of Fayetteville, AR
Taylor Gladwin began her career in local government as an environmental educator for the City of Fayetteville in the Recycling and Trash Division. Her focus has been on educating businesses, schools, community groups, and residents of all ages in the areas of waste reduction, food waste, composting, and recycling. She has been instrumental in building Fayetteville’s residential food waste drop-off program and working with the city’s business partners on food waste composting through the city’s commercial composting program. After receiving her Master’s in Environmental Studies in December, Taylor accepted a new position as the sustainability coordinator with Boston Mountain Solid Waste District.
