Advancing Places: Leverage Your District with Entrepreneurial Placemaking

Overview: What if we harness the innovators produced by accelerators, incubators, and business service providers and infuse them in main streets and BIDs? In interviews with current and former BID practitioners and leaders of accelerators/incubators, the ecosystem is clearly talking “past each other”. Accelerators and incubator participants are tomorrow’s small business. In this webinar, we will share how we activated the ecosystem: various business service providers, economic development thought-leaders, and a BID to allow entrepreneurs a space to do business. In doing so, we closed the gap in support services while providing founders/entrepreneurs with a firsthand look at doing business in a corridor.
